What is Medicaid Managed Care?

In a Medicaid managed care plan, members are assigned to a primary care physician (PCP). The health plan and the PCP work together to manage the health care of the member.

Primary coverage groups are:

• Low Income Families
• Pregnant women and infants
• Aged, Blind and Disabled (ABD)
